This 50 amp Surge Guard unit monitors shore power continuously and shuts off when it detects excessive voltage or open neutral conditions that could damage electronic equipment in your coach.  Like its 30 amp partner, the 50 amp portable unit can be moved from coach to coach and does not require internal installation.  Additional features include:

  • Automatic reset on power restoration.
  • Automatically shuts off the power when the following is present:
    • Open neutral
    • Low (<102V) and High (>132V) Voltage
  • Caution indicator light indicates:
    • Miswired pedestal

MUCH needed item! October 25, 2011

After experiencing one phase going off and on and my microwave beeping in the middle of the night in a rain, I immediately ordered this item. I am an E E of 40 years and fortunately nothing was damaged so I will be using this from now on! Should be built in to all 5'th wheels from factory. I would prefer to have had it inside but can't get to the wiring without major work.
IU will begin using it early next year!
